While I cannot go into details, the platform that the Boards are built on literally cannot support a move thread feature. Our Board Developer members of the volunteer moderation team have been working on this issue and have not found a fix or way to implement it.
Trust me, if they could, they would have by now given how many times I have asked them for a move feature. The whole team knows how much it sucks to have content removed, but when it comes to curating the Boards, we have no choice but to remove threads that are in the wrong sub-board and redirect to the more appropriate sub-board.
Ok fine keep pissing people off due to using the words "wrong section" till you die.. Instead of curbing the crap..

A third party was used in the construction of the boards if I recall. During coding process, that wasn't thought of. Changing old code for a forum has some risk to it.
