Things I want on boards

1. Self report a message. Moderation handles it based on boards rules.

2. For example. @djinn. You get a notification "yorick has tagged you here."

Either of these could send a notification to email or to inbox on this website.

As for blocking, I think it's unnecessary. Report harassment to mods and there's no need for blocking.

Granted I'm not OP, but I have thoughts on the matter.

Direct Messaging: I think how to Moderate would largely depend on the format used for the messaging. If done with something similar to in client, then only moderate for severe cases.

I would actually suggest essentially a private mini thread between the two parties. Purely opt in, if someone wishes to communicate with another they get a message/invitation to the thread. Sort of like the old message system for forums like CreativeFreedomRPG or game like Neopets. The ability to block communication would need to exist too though or an opt out entirely of the messaging system.

Tagging: Off by default, making it opt in. Unless something like a friends list existed or ability to subscribe to people, I don't see an easy way to manage who can and cannot tag you after opting in. Because I could block tags from you, but you bypass it by logging onto account Dos Djinn and tagging me with it.
