Naming/Shaming

Hello,

so first of all I do NOT like, that naming/shaming is not allowed on boards, but this is the rule, so I don't want to argue with that. My question is, WHAT is considered naming and what is not. I will provide some samples with my own profile so you can tell me which is allowed and which is NOT, since all the moderators are uncomfortably inconsistent in this.

  1. This guy trolled my game: link
  2. A guy from my LAST game who played Vladimir trolled my game.
  3. Vladimir from this game trolled.
  4. Somebody from this game trolled.
  5. A Nocturne with cleanse and TP trolled my game.

So which one is allowed and which one is not, since it's not clear (except the first one).

To clarify; only #5 would be allowed, as we do not permit people posting another's Summoner Name/op.gg/anything for the intent of 'calling them out' or witch-hunting them. If they flamed or trolled, I recommend you both report them in the post-lobby screen, and if anything you can also send in a support ticket here. Attacking people and their name will not bring justice, just perpetuate anger and frustration. And while we all can sympathize with a troll or inter, there's a place to report that behavior, and that isn't the Boards.

If someone takes the time to investigate and look, then that's their own prerogative that we can't control, but allowing it on the Boards is what we can control.

I'm surprised it's such an issue since ranked games are public record, right? Or?

As far as I know, however, only #5 is acceptable. Even though it wouldn't be difficult for anyone to check your history and see what you mean (or verify that it didn't actually happen and you're making up examples).
