It is apparently still unreasonable to expect people to have recent experience PLAYING champions / strategies that they claim to be "unfair" or "broken"

Because nobody has to play as something to see it's broken.

It's reasonable to expect they have some level of experience dealing with it beyond a couple of games, of course. But playing as it is just one way to receive said experience. Play as it, play with it, play against it (from multiple angles preferably), observe it, review the statistics properly...All are valid options.

The problem I see with someone claiming that a champion and / or build is broken without playing it themselves is that they are removing the skill of the person who they are observing.

Faker could absolutely destroy 99% of people with Full AP Zed, .. but that doesn't make AP Zed broken.

Even with something like Mana-tank Viktor, .. I've seen it played by someone who is significantly more used to playing as Viktor, and they did well. When I tried it for myself, I did not. I was also able to see how it takes a lot longer to hit power spikes than with most other champions.

So I will agree that it is very strong late game, and it is easier to reach that point if someone is more experienced playing Viktor, ... but it is not broken.
