Lissandra needs help.

Lissandra Lissandra has some serious issues, many of those which were caused by unnecessary nerfs after her release. The result is a champion who embodies the following predicament: If you try to play her as an assassin, you're better off with LeBlanc. If you try to play her as an utility mage, better get Orianna. The niché she's trying to fill has been taken over by far superior champions before she even came out. So what's her purpose? Why even pick her?

Her ratios are laughable and so is her range. Then there's her awful movespeed which simulates a snail skating on ice and a badly designed passive which serves no other purpose than to make up for her ridiculous mana costs. Her slows are subpar and her Q doesn't even affect any other targets after hitting the first one. Her cooldowns are insanely high and her damage-output is less than average.

Her ultimate is among the weakest in the entire game in terms of magic-damage and can easily be avoided by staying out of her auto-attack range. Even if you manage to hit all 5 members of the enemy team with your ult, it hardly makes a difference. Meanwhile you're waiting to get bursted down once the Zhonya's wore off since your awful range has forced you to dive into the enemy team.

Compare that to a 5-man-Orianna ult - now that's an entirely different story. Far superior range, a lot safer and a clearly superior payout for hitting it. Lissandra is the very definition of high risk, low reward. And yet they attempt to release a new skin (Blade Queen Lissandra) without fixing any of those issues. Sorry Riot, but you'll have a hard time selling that one.

She just doesn't have a clearly defined use outside of catching people who are roaming or roaming herself. Once the game moves towards team fights she just don't have much to contribute.

Having played Lissandra in both top and mid, I think she works best mid. She doesn't have the sustain or tankyness for top, but she is also outranged Mid.

Lissandra either needs:

  1. Higher range on her Q
  2. Some innate tankiness

I know Riot mentioned a few months back that they were toying with adding a shield to one of her abilities. I haven't heard anything since, so I assume it did not work or generate the gameplay they wanted.

I personally would prefer a long Q range. I think Lissandra could be much better if she could reliably poke. Lissandra feels really awkward at the momement because you feel the need to itemize for everything.

I feel that lissandra is fine as is, but does not execute her cc theme via her q's abysmal slowing, and the damage on e which makes a much faster e a bad mechanic.

She does not, by any means need a rework. just some q buffs( perhaps at e nerfs)

That being said, she is one of my main midlaners.

Also, what is with the random thread downvotes...

Lisa is actually one my favorite mages, and I honestly like her where she is. I agree 1 on 1 she doesn't have the best utility or damage but (kind of ironically) I think her best overall use case is with a good team. Her disrupt and teamfight capacity is amazing. In other words her best moments are when teamates follow up on her combos.

That being said a slight change to her passive to help with her 1-3 mana costs would help her laning without being too bad. Using her spells (using mana) to decrease the CD on her passive that helps mana cos 3rd is a bit unintuitive imho. Maybe switching it to 0.5 sec for every aa on a champion?
