Majour Runaan's Hurricane Bug

This bug is a majour nerf to Runaan's Hurricane, and I am going to explain what the passive should be doing first.

Runaan's Hurricane is based on an area around the main target which is ~375 units in a complete circle, the bolts will attack the two nearest enemies by the centre of the circle which is the main target. So very simple to understand and in a lot of case can artificially increase your range by ~375 units because the bolts can extend further.

So here is the big, and there are two majour parts to it:

  1. Is pretty RNG [Random Number Generated] event where the passive will straight up not work at all OR only half the passive will work (i.e. only one bolt goes off when there are at least 2 other side target within range)

  2. 90%+ of the time the passive only works when WITHIN your basic attack range, and does not work at its maximum range, even worse if you have Rapid Firecannon. Even then it still does not always function correctly.

NOTE: Notice this while playing as Teemo - it did occur the same on Jinx as well - I am sure it is not working correctly on other Hurricane users like Twitch and Kalista as well.

Can confirm. I saw this when testing Hurricane on Ashe this morning. It appears to be checking the champion's maximum attack range before firing the secondary bolts instead of the distance from the primary target to the secondary.

Untested Repro steps: stand max range away from one of the mini Raptors and shoot it. Secondary bolts won't attack the other raptors even though they are in Hurricane range.

I posted this bug on the PBE, before 5.22 went live. Nothing happend. You feel this bug the first moment you use Runaans. Rito pls.

I can confirm this as well. After seeing the Kog'Maw hype, and being the only person who feels Bonus Damage on Hit builds are actually viable, I was super pumped to try it out with him. Not only does Hurricane not proc the projectile split passive if the target is within 5% (estimation) of your max attack range, but when combo'd with the new Rapid Firecannon (or it's component), or when you use the 'w' ability for Kog'Maw as well.

Confirmed this as well with Twitch.

Surprisingly, I did figure out the range of it is the exact same as the range that shows up when the Rapidfire Cannon is ready to be used.
