Mastery tokens don't work in Ascension?

I just played an Ascension game as Jhin and I did not receive my mastery level 6 token even though I got an S+. Please help I really want that token as it will be my second for Jhin and I can get him as my 3rd level 6 champion. I know that mastery tokens work in URF so why did it mot work in Ascension? Please help and get me my token ASAP.

You can only get Mastery tokens in Normal and Ranked SR, no RGM's or TT/ARAM.

I never got one for an S+ I got an Gangplank in ascension either. so you aren't alone
