TP through fog of war has always been visible for me

I'm a main support, I spend most of my time in botlane, where most TP's are cast.

I've read that now TP channels can be seen even through fog of war and I couldn't help but wonder if I was missing something, because it has been the case forever for me.

When the toplaner was channelling TP to a ward in the bush in which I didn't have vision, I could see the TP and called back by ADC. I thought it was normal until I saw the patch note.
