LoL Client Crashes After Update Screen

Riot,

I know there is a post about this somewhere but it has been over a month and this issue has not been addressed. My client will randomly not open after I click the "Launch" button and the patcher disappears. No matter how many times I end the process tree for League of Legends and attempt to re-open the client it will not proceed to the log-in screen. Can I please get a Red to look into this problem? The only clear fix is to completely restart my computer and I know there must be other League players out there experiencing this problem.
