Jinx's Zap!'s visual hitbox is extremely misleading

So, after a really bad Cho'Gath game I started to notice that Jinx would hit Zaps! that came close but visually did not in anyway touch my hitbox. So I went ahead and tested it out on the Practice Tool: and it seems really bad. The dummy was extremely easy to hit without actually hitting them but I put this down to it just being that the dummy has a bigger hitbox than it shows. I then tried it on a Malphite bot and consistently would hit shots that should've passed him but for some reason decided they would hit. This really needs fixed considering how strong that ability can be and how much strong poke it gives her.
