Headhunter Nidalee spears not visible out of the fog of war

The last normals game I was in, we had an opposing Nidalee who was throwing spears at us from the fog of war (as they tend to do).

The main problem was that her spears were just the red particles around the main shaft and not the entire spear itself. I can verify this with my friends who were in the Skype call with me.
