Morgana R Stuns While Using Stopwatch
Possible visual bug while in-game as well. It appeared like it did damage during the game however shows no indication of doing damage during the replay.

puts a target into Stasis,
is the same. Stasis makes you invulnerable and untargetable, but also renders you unable to perform any actions for 2.5 seconds.
R has a cast, a debuff/buff thing, then the stun/damage effect. After casting the R there is no channel and you do not need to perform any action to complete the rest of it. At that point it's all about the enemy player attempting to remove themselves from the giant dark circle that appears around her. Everything is automated and requires no input. Morg R has always worked this way and it's the reason she picks up
ASAP.

If you are untargetable that would indicate that it should break her tether. It most definitely is a bug, as soon as you Zhonyas her tether should end.
It makes perfect sense that SHE can cast the ability during a Zhonyas, as it's no different than the fire around Mundo. Being untargetable however would indicate that she cannot and should not be able to inflict you with anything. How can you be tethered to something that isn't target-able?

Considering your video is unavailable i can't really look at what you're saying and assumed that the morg popped the stopwatch. I assumed it as a common complaint i used to hear about how abilities like these that have buff durations function while the user is under the effects of the stasis.
TBF though the stasis does not cleanse effects from your champ, it just makes you not take any damage If you mistimed the stopwatch it can wear off and you still would eat the stun..
Untargetability does not break tethers, like Morgana R, Fiddles Drain, Nocturne's Fear, and Karma's tether as well. Sources of untargetability include Stopwatch, Elise Rappel, Vlad pool, Fizz E, and maybe others. In order to break tethers you have to still get outside of tether range, untargetability does not stop it, never has, intentionally.

That's a pretty bad mechanic then. You clearly are not "untargetable" if someone's ability is still capable of targeting you.
Let's be more realistic here, it's probably left in there because they can't fix it without removing the ability for champions to channel abilities while under the effects of Zhonyas. Riot's show of laziness at its best.
Nothing should be capable of targeting you if you are "untargetable", whether it's a champion clicking on you or an ability. If they are going to make an exception to the rule then that defeats the purpose of the item to begin with.
If untargetability killed tethers, then Fizz would be OP forever.
Oh wait...
Seriously, though, untargetability is a powerful mechanic in itself, but it's no cleanse. It's very powerful on some champions, like Morgana, Kennen, and Swain, but also tethers are very powerful on champions who juke like Fizz, Vlad and Yi. It's a balance that, even though it isn't perfectly logical, per se, it also isn't that crazy. Just think of the enemy champion being stuck to you like a straw. A little hazy magic juju isn't gonna just wipe that away, you gotta break the straw.
You're not invulnerable, just untargetable. If you've already been targeted, you still take the damage.

Except, you cannot take damage while under Stasis. You used to be able to die to DoT's and Ignite while using Zhonyas a few seasons ago. Riot patched it out of the game claiming it was a bug. Mundo's W does not turn off, however he can heal during Zhonyas. There are tons of other examples regarding the hypocrisy of the mechanic.
Nothing about Stasis really adds up simply because there are so many "exceptions" to what being untargetable means. How can you know truly what the line is between a bug and what's supposed to be a desired result? There's little to no clarity given anywhere regarding it.
I made an ask Riot comment, because I'd really love to know what their true opinion on stasis is.
There is nothing hypocritical about the mechanics of stasis. Once an ability that isn't a channel starts, it will go through even if the user is in stasis. All regeneration/degeneration is in effect during stasis. This includes damage over time applied to the user as well as their own regeneration of both mana and health.
What are these exceptions that you speak of? If someone is targeted witn a DoT before entering stasis, it remains. The user of stasis regenerates health and mana as normal during the effect. Any toggled, timed, or delayed abilities activated by the user before entering stasis remain while in stasis. Channeled abilities that can be stopped with CC also stop with the activation of stasis. Morgana's ult continues even if she gets stunned, knocked up, suppressed, and snared all at the same time. Why is it so hard to understand that it goes through when she is in stasis and where is the exception here?
Channeled abilities that can be stopped with CC also stop with the activation of stasis.
So do me a favor.
Come back and tell me about this statement once more.
The difference is that Fiddlesticks W is a casting channel. You have to be actively casting, which Fiddlesticks cannot do in stasis. He can't do W while stunned, either, but Morgana, Swain, and Kennen still get their ultimates to continue running through stun, and therefore through stasis.
{quoted} Channeled abilities that can be stopped with CC also stop with the activation of stasis.
That is still completely valid.
As has been said a hundred times, stasis does not stop anything but channeled abilities. If the ability is not channeled, it is an automatic process. You can throw a morg q and then stasis, the q won't just disappear because you popped zhonyas. The ability has already been used, the automatic processes will occur no matter what. Same goes for things like Kennen Fiddle and Morg ults. Ult and zhonyas, the effect still stays because it is an automatic process that does not need actual player control once it's set in motion. Now, if you could Zhonyas and THEN use abilities, that would absolutely be broken.
On the other hand, if YOU have the zhonyas and someone uses an ability on you before you pop it (such as a tether ability), it won't stop the process of the spell. Yes you are untargetable NOW, but you weren't when you used the item. You were already targeted, the ability's functions have already been set in motion . Obviously it stops projectiles from hitting you because the ability hasn't hit you yet when you zhonya'd.
Are... you agreeing with me? I can't decide because of this tone.

Okay so you are saying, that it's a bug then that sometimes Fiddlesticks can cast W through Zhonyas and Bard ultimate? I've seen it happen many times, I assumed it was a valid mechanic, but by your statements I'm guessing not.
Nah, he can't. He can keep a channeled Crowstorm while in stasis (it's no longer a casting channel after activation), but he can't Drain while in stasis.

Just like moving cancels master yi's meditation right?

Also, yes he can. There are buffer inputs that glitch and allow Fiddle to bypass the canceling of his drain on stasis effects. I do not think there is a way to intentionally bug it. I'm not even the first one to report such a bug existing, and I've seen a Fiddle on my team kill someone with W during an enemy Bard's ultimate, which clearly did not stop Fiddlesticks W (nor did the Bard's ultimate save his teammate). I didn't go back and record it only because I actually thought Fiddle using W during stasis was a legit mechanic. I do not play that champion and I have no idea how his kit even works.
There are a million of these videos. This was a visual bug, and those spring up from time to time, a decent number of them from Meditate alone. Somebody's PC didn't catch up to the change from Meditate to movement, and the screen kept the last movement it saw (Meditate), and had him keep that action while his character moved. he didn't actually Meditate all that way, as you can follow his health not increasing for that run. You can also see the instant swap off of Meditate by the green aura around him.
Visual bugs happen. Heck, gameplay bugs happen. However, the general rule still stands, and Fiddlesticks cannot Drain while in Stasis. I know it's not possible because for some reason, you decided to insert a video of Master Yi instead of Fiddle.
Xerath does not have global range. However, this video shows him having global range. That does not give him global range as a general rule, so scraping together these bugs and hacks to prove points is nonsense. The design structure is there, and the intentions are set as they are. casting channels are broken from CC, movement, or stasis (unless otherwise noted), and non-casting ones stay as long as the requirements are met (duration still active, tether not broken, etc.). That's the rule. Stop trying to enact exceptions based on obvious bugs.
Clearly bugs don't exist, by the boards standards. You know, just like Urgot can't kill full health champions.. Master Yi can't turn invisible, Rammus can't bounce over walls with his Q, Trundle can't walk through walls, none of that apparently is possible. Except, it happens. The proof is everywhere, all of you need to stop being ignorant and blinding yourselves from the truth.
