Lag spikes, Disconnects during game & trouble loading on

FPS is 80 on ARAM, and spikes. I keep disconnecting during ARURF. FPS is much worse, and spikes more often. Turning sound off/lowering quality does not resolve the amount of spikes (although turning sound off makes it very slightly not as bad). It froze at the ending screen of ARAM. I had problems loading into ARURF. This began on Friday with the update. I haven't had issues like this before in years (since we updated the internet xp).
Internet appears ok too. No slowness in connection. New client freezes after game, staying at the "game is still in progress" screen for a while. No problem with legacy client.
