Cleanse doesn't work when suppressed????

I was playing Zed against a Malhazar and decided to take the summoner spell "Cleanse" because I had always used it against those who had stuns or roots, such as Annie, and always seemed to work. Well as soon as he uses his suppress on me I kept spamming "D" and cleanse was not working, nor was it highlighted to show I could use it. Reading the spells description "Removes all disables and summoner spell debuffs affecting your champion and lowers the duration of incoming disables by 65% for 3 seconds." does not seem to be truthful.

I think this is because suppress might be coded differently than other disables, and cleanse is so outdated.

From the wiki (Cleanse):

Removes all disables and summoner spells debuffs (except suppression) affecting your champion and grants 65% crowd control reduction for 3 seconds.

From the wiki (Suppression):

The target is unable to control movement, attack, cast abilities or summoner spells (including cleanse).

Cleanse is a summoner spell which removes CC from yourself when cast. Suppression prevents the casting of summoner spells. Therefore, cleanse cannot remove suppression because it cannot be cast while suppressed.

It's pretty straightforward. If you really need to remove suppressions, get a Quicksilver Sash.
