I just finished building my new PC, Ryzen 5 2600X and a Radeon RX580 and for some reason: I barely get around 80 FPS with medium graphics?? Why is the game this badly optimized? TF2's a horribly optimized game and I still get around 160+ in it.
League is actually amazingly optimized generally, and runs on even the lamest of potatoes. Hell, I'm running it at 120+ FPS on way way way less than you(Like an old AMD x4 750k+GTX 650 2gb). Sounds like you've got some weird problem on your end. Maybe a driver issue or something? Not sure. Should most certainly be running better than that though.
You definitely have some incompatible parts or are missing a crucial piece of equipment (like the correct amount of RAM as another person mentioned.) I've used League on 4 different computers ranging from a $1,000 top tier build to the budget build I'm using now, every single one can run the game on medium to ultra graphics with 120+ FPS consistently.
I'd suggest filing a support ticket or making sure your specs meet League's requirements.
My low spec laptop ran it better than that. How much ram you got as well?
I mean I get 144+ easily on the maximum graphics setting with a $1000 build.
I mean, I have 2x rtx 2080 in SLI and an OC i9-9900k with 3200 ram speeds, 32gb of ddr4. I get ~1k FPS on the lowest settings but i have to cap it at 240 for any recordings i do. Might need to lower your settings.
I would say terrible harddrive if you didn't change it, fresh install of windows, maybe a bad graphics card, maybe bad ram or slotted wrongly, possibly not running latest drivers. You need to make sure everything is installed correctly Hardware Software and make sure everything is up to date. Also Run a Motherboard Hardware compatibility check and make sure you are using desktop ram not server ram, stress test your GPU and make sure you have plenty of cooling and you are using proper thermal paste and not to much of it.
