5+ MINUTE long lag spikes

Several times a day today the game has been freezing for 5-10 minute stretches. I hear the game sounds occasionally in little bits, some static in my earbuds, and it locks my computer up completely. Alt-TAB and Ctrl-Alt-Del do nothing. Then the game does everything at once and I'm back in, severely behind.
