New Interface problems with Kha's ulti

When you level up your ulti, it shows the skill upgrade as if you were just leveling up, instead of the different icons that used to appear over the skills once you level up your ult, it is just the leveling up arrows twice. Sometimes, especially if I just hit level 6 or 11 in the middle of a fight, I don't know if I missclicked the level up or if I did and it is asking me what skill I want to upgrade or what. I don't know if I am explaining well enough but there is no way to tell if it is asking you to level up or to upgrade a skill. This is highly problematic. I have upgraded my R when I wanted to upgrade W or E just because I thought I didn't click well when I wanted to level up my R. Fix please.
