Got dodge penalty cuz game wouldn't move

In Champ Select, the game wouldn't let me ban. 'There was an error selecting your champion' message popped up. I closed the message and kept trying to ban but it wouldn't let me. When the timer hit 0 everyone else left the lobby. But i was stuck. So I closed and opened the client, and now I am typing this while waiting 5 minutes.
