New client is lagging heavily in champion select

It will show someone picking a champion or banning a champion then suddenly you notice the timer freezes at 0 and nothing progresses then outta nowhere all the connection returns but by the time it does it dodges me because i cant even tell what the hell is going on.

I wish i had some nice words for your new client that was forced upon everyone i like to note that i never EVER had this much frustration with the old legacy client idc how outdated the old client was that shit was so reliable compared to this new thing you gave us. Shit constantly freezes in champion select but its a internet related my internet is fine i assure you riot i

Restarted my router / computer
Shut off modem for 3 min then turn back on
Completely uninstalled league and reinstalled
Downloaded and ran the hex-tech repair tool
I am running low spec mode even though this labtop can run skyrim and fucking dark souls 3 more reliability than your new client >_____<

SO i know it cant be me because my internet is running the way its always been and i never had these connection issues with the legacy client. What pisses me off the most is that the client cant even tell that i am not intentionally dodging so i have this cancer 30 min punishment timer for something i did not do. At least send me off to court in front of a judge before your nasty client points its finger at me saying im dodging and stuff.

Still happening to me almost 2018. Have good internet. My game runs fine, but champ select sometimes lags really hard

For me it's lagging as hell in champion select while ingame i've 60 fps and 92 ms, i don't know what's wrong or how shall i solve this shitty problem

The "updated" client still lags in champ select (and overall) as hell for me even if I have the low spec mode enabled. It happens REALLY often that I'm just not able to pick / ban my champ in ranked. And making runes in champ select? Can't even dream about that. The time that we're given to choose our everything (including bans) should be at least doubled.

Same!! PLEASE, fix it. I've dodged about 10 queues in ranked solo/duo because of this bug and I'm really tired of waiting about 15 min for dodging queues and loosing 10 lp after 2 dodges in a row.

Ive had issues like this with the old client..... With the new one after the low spec mode for the client i never have much issues.

Btw, there seemed to be some ping and fps spikings about an hour ago, i wonder if they were working on putting in that fix for the clubs for whatever bug it was.

Has there been a solution discovered for this yet? Sept 29, 2018 and I'm still having this same problem. Extreme lag during champion select but runs perfectly fine as soon as the game starts. The lag seems to get progressively worse with each consecutive game that I play. Sometimes logging out and logging back in helps alleviate the problem but its stupid that I have to log out and in after every match.

(my computer has 8GB RAM)

Feb 2019, just got dodged in select because of what other people described what appears to be a champ select which showed me frames from 15 to 15 seconds. Never experienced this before, ever, on two computers.., never seen this sht on any other game in my life. Pathetic, and I actually regret putting money into this game. Nowadays I'm flamed out of my mind for not playing meta, and truth be told, it's hard to win/enjoy the game if you're not a meta slave. Good job rito, force champions back into their predesignated roles, who are we to try something different.

At least you can lane with a support item and have MORE gold than the enemy laner w/o getting one creep (be it cannon also). WELL DONE words cannot express my emotions towards you and your game right now. It's frustrating because I invested time and money into this game, otherwise it would be easy to switch to whatever people are playing right now.

same problem for me. I see all my ally's names and picks, then we do bans. But, when it's my turn to pick hero, everything doesn't show up and I automatically am forced to dodge queue because the game doesn't register me picking my hero. Riot doesn't really give a fuck unless they get money from it, so I doubt this issue gets fixed.

Happy to report that in over three years, nothing. Not a thing has been done to address this problem. It affects thousands of players, and Riot doesn't care. The only fix is to restart the client, and eventually, as the apparent problem starts stacking every time you go to champ select, finally, it will be too laggy, and you will need to restart again.

Thank you Riot for your putting more support into the cash shop, and not the actual game.

I can't chose what i want to play because it takes to much time to connect in champ select , but in game i have 150 fps and 49ms .

It happens, because your computer is slow (mostly due to RAM wantage). Try to play with 4GB RAM and more.
