I just want mid :'(

I've played 5 games of Ranked with the new champ select and in not one of them did I get my prefered role(mid). At first I had my secondary as support, but since that's in high demand I switched to adc as my secondary to try and raise my chances of getting mid. I really wouldn't mind waiting longer (I'm getting like 10 second queue timers) if it meant I could get my prefered role 50-60% of the time. I feel that as a prefered role it should come up a minimum amount of times before you get shunted into your secondary.
