[Gameplay] Shaco - You come out of Stealth Immediately After Using Deceieve

Pink Ward·11/5/2016, 10:57:17 PM·94 votes·5,954 views

WARNING VIDEO IS LOUD DUE TO RAGING, sorry for the salt. The first 2 clips are from the live server. The 3rd clip is from PBE so it is still implemented after the rework to Shaco.

You will come out of stealth if you give your champion a command and then deceive as Shaco.

  1. Pick Shaco
  2. Command your champion to attack an enemy
  3. Use the Q ability (Deceive) into auto range of the champion
  4. Cancelling Stealth immediately due to the auto command input put in recently that was cancelled do to movement.

If the champion is in your auto range after Qing, you will always come out of stealth.

Some thoughts of my own. I think this is the same reason we can Q>B. After Qing your input commands previously aren't stopped, so in the time between actually going invs and autoing, your input doesn't get cancelled even.

My bad on miss spelling in the title. Oops. :^)

Never happened to me, but I have seen it happen to other shacos before No matter how much I hate a champion I think all champions should function as they are supposed to

Also that 3rd Yasuo Q hitbox tho...

Its not a bug, if you issue an attack, which he did, you come out of stealth. It doesn't matter if you auto cancel, you still issued an attack.

I never laughed so hard

This actually has happend to me alot, and I've watched over recordings of them everytime, its such a common bug with Shaco that needs to be fixed, hopefully it will be with the remake :) if not, rito plz?

Poske11/6/2016, 11:23:37 AM3 votes

Happends to me all the time

If you command a shaco to attack right after Q and you cancel it in like 90% of animation it happends

I completely agree, ive have had this happen to me since i started in season 4. It can indeed be very frustrating and even throw the game.

Yeah... it's happened to me a lot, it's especially tilting in the lategame. Fixing bugs should be higher up Riot's priority list, it has to do with the quality of the game. There's also other champions riddled with bugs and I think they also deserve a bit of touching up.

I've been removed from stealth before I've actually damaged a champion and that was pretty stupid.

Poor pink ward

i never saw you this loud before...

######No offense, no hate mods right?

I actually like that this is the case, when I play vayne the auto command will stay even though i tumble and go into stealth, so I never have to worry about the auto cancel that used to be there.

statelesskiller11/6/2016, 1:41:57 AM1 votes

this is the kinda bug that needs a INSTANT look at and hotfix ASAP. this is the kinda bug that loses you games.

its just like that yasuo bug that literally gave him free extra damage this may seem small to some people but this is ACTUALLY game breaking

I tried to become an AP shaco one trick pony for a while and I can confirm that this bug exists and it contributed to me moving on to other champs.

Rito spaghetti code, why ; (

As I mentioned in that video myself I believe the cause of these 'bugs' is the auto attack option that you are given from the 'GAME' section if u press escape and enter the options menu during a game , you ll notice that he DID NOT click any of the champions if you lower the speed of the video at 0.25 , he was only really close to them at both scenarios , I believe that is the cause of the problem and furthermore what that tells us is that if shaco is close to an enemy champion while that option is on this should occur everytime this happens , thus when shaco tries to auto attack even if you try to cancel it , he wll be removed from stealh because he tried to auto attack. A good fix should be to make it like akali's stealth , while akali is in her W she cannot perform an auto attack unless ordered even with that option on.I believe I pretty much covered everything with this explaination.

Has happened to me more as of late. Glad I know why now.

Filthy Rank6/13/2018, 4:47:36 PM1 votes

It happens in at least half of my games with shaco :') I have to always be very carefull to not Q on a mob (like gromp behind the wall), on someone in a bush (how do you predict this ??), on a minion in lane or a champion i wanna q over to outplay :o The worst is that the auto is cancelled so you do no damage but stealth goes off ^^'

AgeOfTheMage11/6/2016, 3:01:28 PM1 votes

so the moment he activates it he comes out of stealth? no ty, I like having a few seconds of invis cause it allows for ganks in case they have wards

Dehitay11/6/2016, 3:05:54 PM1 votes

wtf, was it ever programmed to ignore previous commands once you hit Q? I thought that was obvious behavior. At the end of the day, it's a blink ability. And to my knowledge, every blink ability doesn't cancel previous commands. It would be annoying as hell if they did. I'm more curious why you ordered an attack command before stealthing if you didn't want to attack? That makes as much logic as ordering an attack command on Ezreal before E'ing if you don't want to attack. It just makes sense that the same thing results.

Weathered11/6/2016, 3:19:53 PM1 votes

This has happened a few times to me. Really messes you up and makes you stutter with what you're doing.

ArnoldSchwarzens11/6/2016, 6:06:17 PM1 votes

If you cancel the auto command by right clicking on the ground before you deceive, does it still interrupt it?

Filthy Rank11/6/2016, 7:05:55 PM1 votes

yes this piss me off so much it even hapens when i use auto on click ==', it's like making the Q purpose of escape useless

Tested and Confirmed.

OhZenny11/6/2016, 11:07:01 PM1 votes

Tbh that only happened because you have auto attack on not much of a bug, you right clicked him right when you q'd, it's super unlucky

Holy shit... thanks for the volume warning lol

Was this all PBE gameplay?
