Unintentional interaction with Vlad's empowered Q?

So I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but is Vlad's empowered Q supposed to count towards his next empowered Q? Because this currently has the effect of making every other Q empowered after his first empowered Q, as opposed to every third.

Additionally, channeling E and pushing W allows your E cast to continue and cancel your pool early and abruptly when it casts.

This is just my observation, but it should provide some insight on why this happens. Every time Vlad casts Q, it generates a stack. At 2 stacks and when Q gets off cooldown, the stacks are consumed and he gets the Crimson Rush buff. The next time Vlad uses Q it is buffed by Crimson Rush, but its still a Q cast so it gives a stack.

The last line in Sanguine Pool's tool tip reads

Releasing Tides of Blood while in Sanguine Pool will cause Vladimir to surface, ending the effect.
