Heimerdinger can solo Baron Nashor at any stage of the game

The previous change you implemented to make Baron reset if there were no champions in range is no longer functioning versus Heimerdinger. His turrets can kill it without it retaliating or resetting.

If this is true, I will for totally unrelated reasons, become a heimer main until further notice.

Bug exploitation is a bannable offence.

Only if you're exploiting it with scripts, taking advantage of purely ingame bugs due to riot's coding warrants no punishment, and btw, after actually testing it, this isn't true. I tried before it spawned, didn't work, and after it spawned, also didn't work. Furthermore my post was clearly a joke. And so even if it does exist as a bug, it's clearly extremely rare.

People who abused the Sion "press S during his ultimate" bug got punished. People who abused the Xerath "Q becomes global" bug got punished. Neither of these required manipulation of the code. There's a difference between someone who accidentally discovers the bug and someone who intentionally exploits it.

Also, it was being reproduced without effort by every Heimerdinger I faced yesterday. I was initially told about the bug a few days ago on the LoL Wikia's Discord, and when I saw it in action yesterday I remembered to post this report.

Actually, both of those, along with the Azir Turret soldiers glitch required a user to inject a script into their game, without it, it wouldn't work right. For instance, Players who abused Anivia's Q the fountain bug, were not punished.

I am confident I played with the Sion bug in a custom game, and I do not inject. I also definitely reproduced the Tahm Kench + Infinite Summoner Spells bug in a custom game with a friend: something that people got punished for using.

I'm not really sure why you're trying to advocate for exploitation being acceptable behaviour, though. I'm all for playing Devil's Advocate, but this really isn't a morally grey area.

So ur saying that using these bugs is bannable, but u used these bugs and werent banned? how does tha work? even people who used the xerath/azir bugs in customs got punshed.

people have been banned for abusing the tiamat 'drophack' back in season 3 so yes riot can actually ban people for willingly abusing in-game coding bugs

Fair enough, but i's clear their policies have changed, i.e. the Darius bug, which noone was punished for using.

I did not use them to gain an unfair advantage in the competitive environment. I was in a custom game versus no other players, or only with friends who were also messing around with the bug. In the case of the Tahm bug, I was trying to determine the reproduction steps so I could report the issue.

I'm not sure if you actually misunderstand the concept of cheating or just being belligerent.

Except that people who used things like the Xerath bug, and Azir bugs, in custom games, also got punished. I'm pretty sure Riot does not have a double standard as you are implying.

Eeyore1 votes

That is not an example of a double standard.

Reproducing code-only bugs is not bannable unless you exploit them to gain a competitive advantage. Emphasis on exploit and competitive advantage. Discovering them by accident in a PVP is not against the rules. Trying to figure out the reproduction steps in a non-competitive environment is also not against the rules (given the Bug Reports forum specifically asks this of its users).

As for those cases: as you say, some exploits do require injection. Altering the game's code is a separate bannable offense. If those people altered the game-code then of course they would be banned, even in custom games.
