Role Distribution

Out of 15 games I think I have gotten my main role 4 times. Every other time I've gotten my secondary role. How am I supposed to continue to practice my role? People used to just give me my lane because they could tell I was so good at it. Now I don't get to play it like 70% of the time. Something must be broken with matchmaking and how people are assigned roles.
