why does this happen at least once a week?

not even 2 months ago i reinstalled LoL completely. i removed EVERYTHING that had anything to do with lol and installed it totally fresh because of this problem. yet i still get it AT LEAST once a week. then it has to update AGAIN, sometimes it breaks and TRIES TO UPDATE AGAIN and eventually im lucky to get into the client. wtf is this BS?

Have you tried turning it off and on? (But slowly instead of spamming fucking client button so it opens 10 million times and crashes and sends u back to last patch)

Try moving the file location out of Program Files. There may be a problem with file permissions. Be sure to allow LoL to bypass the firewall when it updates. Run it as administrator. That should be everything.
