League client won't boot without restart

League's client has been failing to boot atall after being closed, without restarting my computer.

I installed league again fresh thismorning, as my previous 2 year old copy ceased opening atall within the last few days.

If a fix is known of, I'd appreciate hearing of it. Rebooting is inconvenient, and I fear the game not opening.

(Additionally, I installed PBE client a few days ago, possible conflict?)

Open the task manager (if it's in the short list mode find the button to show all processes) and check if there's a portion of the client that doesn't close when you close out the game. If you force quit that part you should be able to re-open the game.

Same problem here, my client won’t open unless I restart my entire computer.

I am getting something similar or the same... I am going to make a new post but will also post what is happening to me here to. So today, I try to launch league for the first time since last night when I had no issues. Now, after I get to the landing of the launch pad where I should be entering my password, I get these two pop ups and I cant play. Keeps bringing me in a loop and I cant get past this.

There was a problem patching League of Legends. We'll restore a backup version and try updating again after you restart the patcher. [RESTART]

We have restored this installation to an older version of League of Legends. Now we'll try to patch it up to the latest version. [OKAY]

Once I click Restart then the next window pops up. Then i click Okay and then nothing happens and It brings me back to the first message about having a problem patching..
