Diana q occasionally goes through enemies

Dealing no damage and not applying moonlight. This mostly happens yordle champions or most recently amumu. It's happened about a dozen times since I've been playing Diana but it doesn't happen often. I think that it happens at the spot right before it explodes at the end on the inner side. It passes through them but doesn't hit them. Does anyone have a picture or explanation of this.
