His rock always interrupts you as long as you're within the ability radius NOT the actual rock radius. Furthermore, the rock physically stay there long after the appearance disappears. The first one may be intended, but could probably stand to be fixed. However the second one probably is an instance of poor programming. Ideally both could stand to be fixed, but the second is the most important.
