Lucian ultimate does not apply rageblade stacks. Is this intentional?

Rageblade only works on autos, lucian ultimate isn't considered an auto attack.

Then what does it mean to apply on-hit effects? Are on-hit effects not defined as effects triggered by auto attacking?

Rage blade says specifically "Attacks grant 5% Attack Speed. Stacks infinitely." Lucian ult isn't an attack. Its an ult.

On-attack effects and on-hit effects are entirely different. On-attack effects will only activate when a basic attack is used, but will proc regardless if the attack actually lands. This means that you can stack rageblade even if Yasuo windwalls the attack or you are blinded by Teemo. On-hit effects only proc once the target is hit.

Pretty sure they're talking about tft, but the same language applies.
