I am learning Shyvana top but I dont really know what to do all the guides say different things some say go 21/9/0 others say 9/21/0, some say to rush blade of the rune king others say rush sunfire cloak. So can someone point me in the right direction?
max W > E > Q or W > Q > E Can max E first if you can't get to minion waves / being zoned out.

When you trade, you really want to lane your E first. Followed up with getting them hit by your W (for as long as possible) While pummeling them with auto's and Q. Its better to auto then Q then just Qing as it's an auto attack reset.
Normally its better to be a raid boss. You can have pretty strong engages, and your ultimate is basically always up and ready for use. It may not look like it, but going near full tank with sunfire, you'll be doing a lot of hybrid damage. Sunfire + Burnout + E debuff auto attacks is tons of magic damage. That's not counting physical damage done through regular AAs and Q's.
You won't die super fast, and you may do a pretty good chunk of damage to whatever carries you jump. Since you can't really peel its better to dive backline champions and distract them as best you can.
I love shyv but my teammates say she isn't ideal. she does has super synergy with 
and any deep diving champs.
Her play style is basically the same for teammates, dragon ult in, and do damage/kill backline carries.
You can get away going 21/9/0 most of the time since you're naturally tanky. Therefore you can get some damage items early then go for the tank stats. If you snowball from this, you want to go for items that work well on shyv but also increase your survivability.

I haven't played her that much this season yet as I'm still trying to find my groove of what exactly I want to main. But You may be able to get away with
as top lane and go for 
(damage) or 
(tanky) so you take less damage when you want to 1v1/ trade with someone/use on adc so you can claw them in the face when you jump them. Or you can go 
for the chilling smite effect which helps add some extra cc.
Ofc you can take 
too.
