Minor help need from all experienced Vayne players

I've recently picked up playing Vayne, and I've had great success with her, going 4-2.

A couple of things I have questions about:

First, I learned how to use Vayne's E properly. Usually, I tumble so that I am right across the wall, while ADC's back is against the wall (Bottom lane) and I simply do E R AA the ADC down, if R is possible. Otherwise, simple kiting. The problem is, I don't land my E's exactly when I want to. I hate that E is select target and not a skillshot. But I want to know how to increase accuracy on using E at the right time. Is it smart-casting? Or just have good reflexes and click at the right time?

Another question is I have seen many people play Vayne in the Top Lane. I want to know if the build would differ or would it be tanky+ad or something different? I can see Vayne being a good counter to many melee champions up in the top lane and I want to optimize her especially to counter in ranked matches. My Season 4 was S4. So I am assuming during my ranked games (atleast in the provisionals) I'm facing Bronze and Silver people.

Please help out! Thanks!

Yes, you should smart cast every targeted spell. If you are playing at bot lane, you usually end up leveling her Q, not her W, especially when there is an enemy Braum at there. You have to attack the same target with Silver bolts to be effective. It is lot better leveling W, when you play her at top. If you feel like upgradingitem 3144 toitem 3153 early, sucks, listen to that feeling and delay upgrading it as long as the enemy champs don't reach a specific level. Doesn't matter how much others recommend it. Rather get item 3086 anditem 1037 instead. Building her at top is not different, maybe if your lane opponent do magic damage.

For Vayne ' s condemn it's a timing thing; the more you play her the more you will understand how to use it properly. For the majority of the condemn it's best to save it unless you know 100% you can land the stun because you would want it up of there is going to be a enemy jungler gank that's most likely melee and you want to separate that gap and kite back. Another block of advice is to learn her aa q e combo; which can be used to harass the enemy or used as a flashy excute, learning when that combo is an 100% kill comes with practice as well. Also I've been playing around w builds by going into more of an attack speed carry. I go my usual start of getting blade first and judging our wave clear/ their team comp is where I decide if I want to go phantom dancer or static shiv.

If you want aoe damage to their whole team and wave clear then I'd go with shiv. If you're going to kite a ton and want more single target damage then go with phantoms.

What I've been doing is going one of the two and then getting lw if I need the armour pen, if I don't I go straight into building the other speed item I didn't build first.

So my build would be like this: Blade, static shiv, phantoms, last whisper, boots, and situational item.

Try Trinity Force for top lane vayne if you want to experiment with it. its pretty fun :D.

for a bruiser-y vayne build try item 3078 item 3153 item 3022 item 3102 and finish with either item 3172 or item 3035 But that would be a really expensive and niche build for a niche playstyle. but its definitely fun to play :)
