Lissandra question

So Lissandra is an amazing champion because of her great cc abilities AND escaping ability. Not many champions have that. I was wondering why she isn't played in top/mid lane anymore?

Is it her damage or is she lacking something? Just wondering.

She has short range so she can't really match up against the longer range of a lot of midlaners right now (Too prone to getting poked out of lane). She is decent against bruisers top, but once they tank up she has trouble against some of them. I think there are just better AP options than her right now than still bring CC to the table. Also there are other bruisers like gnar that can bring engage so she isn't really needed for that.

Not saying she is bad or anything. Just not in the meta.

If you learn to take her into mid laners that are melee or short range she is fine. I wrecked a Yasuo with her not too long ago. She just is outranged by most AP mid laners so it gives her a hard time. Plus with all the high mobility assassins these days people pick them more over her.

Lissandra is really op if you learn how to play her , she is a little weak in early but she can engage and dmg all teams with her cc and with a zhonya and a good team she is invincible , Lissandra is one of my mains she counters most of the noob champs i dont understand why she is not played much 0.0

She is very vulnerable to poke. If you can dodge the poke, she is one of the strongest champions in the game.

JFor mid its the short range. She is super strong against some champs, like LB, Yas, Talon, because they are required to engage on you, which lets you drop the hammer on them.

Alot of other mages though outranger her, so it is a lot tougher lane. Still doable, you can usually still put the hurt on them if they mess up, but its alot harder because you have to avoid their poke

Funny, I thought she was nerfed.

She lacks ability to deal with tanks as a damage source and isn't BAD against assassins like ekko or Leblanc but isn't amazing. She's easily focused in teamfights because of her range.

She also got some pretty big nerfs back when she was dominant in the meta and really hasn't seen play since.

Less damage, less range, mana hungry.

In addition to all of these comments, if you're solo queueing, you may struggle to engage on and successfully do a lot of things because communication is a struggle. I played her a lot last season and still try this season, but the biggest problem with her imo is when I say to my team "I'm going in, let's go," however sometimes your team doesn't follow up and that leads to some sad deaths. Fun fact, Lissandra is great against Ekko. But that aside she suffers from what other comments said, with lack of range and what not. But she is still really strong, if you are confident in your lissandra skills dont be afraid to pick her. She is an amazing champion.

Tanks are very popular right now top lane, and that is something Lissandra cant compete against.

She is really good (REALLY GOOD) against bruiser and assassin meta.

She is by no means bad right now, but you have to be careful when picking her because of how tanky teams are right now.

She was perfect before the nerf to her Q and DFG removal. Her Q is long range enough to match with most mid laners if you know when to use it and how to position it. With DFG you could burst most targets down but with that being removed I don't play her much anymore, and plus the nerf to her Q was unnecessary and only done to make TOP laners happy.
