Mid Main Wanting to Main ADC

Hi,

Im a plat mid main, I mainly play Ahir and LB... For some reason , I have this great desire to play and main ADC, and when I play it, I remember why I dont play it. The feeling of helplessness is torturing and Idk it just feels so different from Mages but I still want to play it. I mainly play Lucian and I have a couple of questions.

  1. Is it worth learning ADC at this point?
  2. Is there someone out there who's ready to teach some stuff about adc and bot lane in general since I nearly exclusively played mid for a whole season

Thanks :)

I'm not plat, I haven't even finished my placements for this season.

Although I'm lowest of the low, but learn supports' strengths/ weaknesses and how to play along side with each support.

Keep tabs on the supports hp and mana bar, not many people keep track of my hp or mana and wonder why I didn't jump in.

ADC is fun but the main part is you have to be able to adapt to your supports play style. Some are aggressive and some are really passive.

Personally, as someone who plays a lot of AP mids, I feel like I've gotten a bit better at ADC as Blue Ezreal. I learned how to play him as AP Ezreal in mid first, but that might not be the best way for you to start out.

The pros of Blue Ezreal for learning ADC is that you're still spell reliant, but can do something when everything is on cooldown. This slowly works in the whole "auto attacks are good" mentality that you need as an ADC.

i think its always worth learning another role even if ur not good at it, u will have to play it sooner or later. Beyond this it will also help u to understand the in's and out's of said roles which will help u realize what that role can and cant do. stick with it, and Lucian is my fav adc cause strong early game, if u get ahead and maybe a kill or 2 it wont matter that jinx will outscale u at 35 min, cause it will be way over by then.

  1. That depends on what your goals are with learning ADC. Are you trying to play ADC in ranked or normals? If its for ranked and you don't know all the different mechanics of adc, then its going to take some time to learn ADC in order to be able to play it in ranked well so you need to invest alot of time into learning how the lane works and the different mechanics that adc players utilize. If you're trying to learn adc just for fun , then its never too late.

  2. I am a Diamond IV ADC main who does replay analysis for my stream viewers. I don't know yet if I'll start doing 1-on-1 lessons because that depends on how many of my viewers ask for it.
