Without more specifics it's hard to be anything but general...and the gUS above is correct, a lot if it is just time and experience. However, if this is your first time dipping your toe in ranked these are a few things I wish I had known...

  1. Can you play every major role with some level of compentence? If not keep grinding normals until you can.

  2. Do you have at least 2 champs you feel really good with at each role? If not practice more champs until you do.

  3. Play a very tight pool of only your very best guys. Do not experiment or play 39 different ones in the course of a week. Worry less about counter picking and more about playing the guys you know inside out. The growth in your pool of viable champs will come with time. Keep it simple and tight and play your best in ranked if you want to climb.

  4. Make sure you have viable rune and mastery pages for every champion you will bring. If you don't get them before you seriously consider ranked. You will be at a disadvantage and gimp your teammates if you dont.

  5. Look at every game after and ask what you coukd have done better? Die less? Farm more? Ward more? Whatever it is focus on 1 aspect at a time and grow with every game.

Good luck, and see you on the fields.

I'll give you a general meta-tip

Every time you die, ask yourself what you did wrong, and what you could have done/used differently in that scenario.

Ignore what your team might have done wrong, you can't control them anyways, just focus on your own actions and what you could have done better.

This is the only advice that will consistently help you improve.

Lemme offer you something different from the typical, something to think about, tho you will find this unhelpful cuz theres no real advice here lol if ur like me, you wont find other peoples general advice helpful

the typical, dont rage, dont feed, be nice, ward up , take breaks etc. etc. etc. you will hear alot about it, imho it doesnt really help if you made mistakes and you realize it/someone points it out.. then maybe thats helpful

Think back when you first started the game, and look at where you are now you are alot better than when you first started well how the fk did that happen? I dont know the exact answer myself That Diamond 1 player is a hell alot better than you well how the fk did that happen?

At this point, I trust that you know about warding and not raging and knowing your champion theres not much more to teach you unless its specific and nitpicky you are experienced in champ A, well that diamond is MORE experienced than you you can ward, well that Diamond is BETTER at warding than you you can do anything, well that Diamond is going to do it BETTER than you in all aspects

well shit!!!!!! all dese general ideas, everyone tells/ and will continue to tell you.. you already fuqing know but ur not Diamond 1 tl;dr gaining mileage is just something you have to figure out for yourself if you ask me

I don't think being able to play every role is important, being a one trick pony has been always the strongest way to climb fast(just not necessarily get better) Take it from someone who has played around 1.7k ranked this season without playing over 100 games on any champ that being diverse and learning the game more thoroughly does not equal quick elo
