I'm on a six game losing streak with my main, advice?

I could blame my teammates but it's six games in a row now I've lost with my preferred role and champion. It was all going well when I skipped a tier from my series but now I'm bound to get demoted any time now. I spaced out my games quite a bit and play when I'm feeling good (not tilted and wide awake) but still not finding success. Any advice? Just refraining from play ranked at all now knowing I might get demoted.

P.S Silver II right now, hoping to get gold before I have to return to school. P.P.S I can play other roles as well, just as well.

Edit: Now on seven...but had an afk.

Something I like to do when I tilt with my main is to play them in a different role. You seem to like Irelia, why not take her mid in norms? I main Lux, I do really well with her mid but I went through a couple games of doing pretty poorly, tilting from getting camped or whatever, general stuff, I ran her support and saw my mid play improve.

Having to pay attention to an additional person, warding more, using a different summoner other than ignite, improved my overall play with her. Irelia mid is pretty good, playing her against someone you're not used to would present a different challenge.

How did you skip a tier?

Also, change your role/champion and play a normals game. A couple of ARAMs after a ranked loss seems to work for me.

Well I suggest using a good ganker that way you can get your lanes to win while you can later sit back and farm :p

Saying you're having a bad day is the easy answer. Were you on tilt after the losses?

Meh, I've had 30+ loss streaks before. You just have to hang in there. Just make sure you take breaks, listen to music while playing and just take it easy.

USE ANOTHER CHAMP!!!!! ASAP.......because it is common to be less efficient with the champ you keep playing over and over....trust me u was a vayne and zed main for a while and still am but in ranked those 2 were the only champs i would play i would get rekted...it is weird but you get way too confortable with them and you just loose.....so my advice is to switch it up so play another champ and also play you r mains it will make you a better player and you will learn other chams weakness good luck

Try some normals, and try some other roles, maybe? You can learn a lot about your role/champion even when you're not playing in that role, and even if that champion isn't in that match.

Do you know what brought on the loss in each of the games? Team fighting, gold leads, objective control, etc. Sometimes figuring out what specifically came up short sheds light on why you're coming up short.
