Adc & Jungle for a basic Noob

dalekiller11·5/21/2015, 1:44:40 PM·2 votes·1,075 views

So, as a person who usually plays Support/Mid/Top, are there any champions which you would recommend for the Adc/Jungle role(s)? Keep in mind that I am a Semi-Noob, only level twentyone at the moment.

Thank you!

A very strong jungler right now is Nunu. If you build any item that has cinderhulk such asitem 3709 item 3717 item 3721 item 3725 Going full tank on him seems to be the most efficient route. He is very effective in the jungle having a lot of sustain with his Q. I would recommend him to anyone new who is looking to try out jungle.

Warwick Is a very solid jungler. He has really good sustain and a good ult for ganks.

I would not recommend Warwick or Nunu. Sure they have sustain and can survive the jungle - but how do they win?

Warwick is easy to see how to win with: you build on-hit damage, tank, and then facetank the entire enemy team while dealing massive damage and taking zero damage due to your huge lifesteal. Problem: He has no way to get that fed because he farms slowly (though safely), has poor early ganks, and even later ganks only bring a suppress and AS to your team. You are also not tanky without items.

Nunu is not easy to see how to win with. He has very weak damage to champions but great damage to monsters. He is very tanky. That implies you should counterjungle and take objectives. But if the enemy gets a lead, you can do neither, and Nunu, while having decent ganks, is not the greatest ganker once any lanes are behind, so you have to start snowballing (haha) as early as possible, maybe even level 2. That means if you fail, you are a huge liability to the team.

Gragas is the most solid jungler right now. Easy to see how to win with, relatively easy to play, clears like a boss.

For jungle, Amumu XinZhao are a great pair to start with. Xin zhao has the early ganking power to get hypercarries ahead and maybe become a carry himself, amumu has the teamfight power to win 5v5's and be a tank. They're stupidly easy to learn but really strong right now. Also they've got two different styles of play so you can see what fits you better. If you like amumu, try sejuani and gragas later. If you like xin, try lee sin and vi later.

For ADC, ashe and sivir are honestly great picks right now and really cheap too. Ashe is the classic long range kiting ADC so if you want to play adc a lot more, definately try her out as you'll learn the role really well with her. Sivir is way more short ranged and relies on her spellshield to survive stuff and it's really rewarding to learn how to play her well.

Caitlyn is the safest adc, but really underwhelming.

hey friend! so what i would say in regards to playing adc you should learn to play lucian or cait, why i say these two over some of the "op" pick is because they are lane bullies and with these champs you can get ahead early and that should help carry you though the mid/late game. as for playing jungle id say you should be looking at easy to play strong ganking champs with a strong early game, such as pantheon and wukong. i love playing these two champs and they are increadably easy to play and they are pretty good at what they do. i would not say to play warwick as his ganks are pretty tough to pull off pre 6 and as a jungler you should be usfull all game rather than a nonexistant early game. i hope that i helped! if you have any questions feel free to ask either here or in game

Stay away from the skills shots. You can learn much faster by sticking to knowledge based champions at first: Warwick Sivir (almost all adcs have skillshots, but sivir gives you that really powerful pushing advantage).

For jungle, any easy jungler with high sustain is best for learning the jungle because you don't have to worry about health, and players should learn how the jungle works before having to try and manage health.

Nunu I personally would recommend to learn in the jungle because of his combination of being easy to play and having a lot of sustain, especially after the first clear. Warwick is also apparently very easy, and also have a lot of sustain, but I can't recommend him because I don't play Warwick, although a lot of other junglers will probably recommend him.

As far as ADC is concerned, I think Corki is a really good ADC to pick up considering you already play Mid a lot, as Corki has a large focus on casting spells over auto attacks relative to other ADCs. I personally think of Corki as a really good ADC to learn if you already play mid lane because the spell-cast focus of the mid lane also applies to Corki.

I'll echo the Nunu Nunu recommendation. He's perfect if you're just starting out because he doesn't even rely on runes and masteries to clear the jungle well. He's in the meta right now as well, so you'll do well if you build cinderhulk on him and proceed into lots of tanky items.

For ADCs I recommend Ashe Ashe. She's very strong right now and she's not too complicated to play.

If you're new to the jungle, Warwick is definitely the best place to start.

First off, he's 450 IP, so if you end up not liking him, you haven't lost much.

Second, the jungle monsters this season hit pretty hard, and you're level 21, so you don't have full rune/mastery pages. Warwick's got enough sustain that you won't have to be heading back to base every few camps, even without those runes and masteries.

Third, Warwick is a mechanically simple champion, so you can focus more on learning about how to jungle than how to play Warwick. This is probably the biggest reason why I'd suggest starting with Warwick. Not having to worry about skillshots or combos allows you to put all of your attention on things like the timing of your gank, which will help you out immensely when you learn other jungling champions.

Some of the other comments here mention that Warwick isn't the strongest champion right now, and that's true. You probably won't stay on Warwick forever. However, if you want to learn how to jungle, Warwick's sustain and mechanical simplicity will allow you to do that much more efficiently than any other champion.
