Draven

Would anyone like to offer a person that is fairly new to Draven some tips on how to build him? I feel like I have gotten his mechanics down, but my builds don't seem to be doing him justice. I was prettymuch just following the recommended for him.

Much appreciated! :)

IE/ zeal/ last whisper or BT depending on who u are playing against/ complete ur zeal into Phantom dance. Last item is also situational I usually go MS

Draven going BT first is acceptable and makes you really hard to kill. It's faster power spike and the life steal is nice. With 3 huge tanks on the enemy team I even go BT and LW second. Attack speed on Draven is preference imo because of his W and your ability to maintain 2 axes with a lot of AS. I have trouble with PD and W sometimes. I do like Tri Force as a 5th or 6th item, but it is risky because if you drop your axes you cannot spam W for the sheen proc.

I like AmerikanoZ idea where you get zeal second and finish later if you rush IE first. So you can keep stacking that AD.

Watch Geranimo. He is a challenger level ADC main, who mains Draven. If you want to be sure you're getting good advice, look at the pro players.

Alright so looking at your match history, I notice that your builds are very inconsistent and you're prioritizing the wrong items. So heres a standard draven build i recommend for any player: Start: item 1055 + item 2003 Full build: item 3031 item 3006 item 3087 item 3072 item 3035 item 3026

For this, you should build the items in the order that I displayed.

Now heres my critique on your builds: You're prioritizing attack speed on draven which is a bad idea. ADCs always prioritize dmg over attack speed early game because you have fairly low attack speed so this maximizes the dmg on the few autoattacks you're able to land, especially on draven since most of his dmg comes from his spinning axes of which he can only maintain 2 spinning axes at the same time. Furthermore, his spinning axes depend on his AD to deal dmg so you should always prioritize Attack dmg over attack speed. Getting attack speed means you need to land alot more autoattacks to get more dmg off but its not going to happen and in the end, its not worth it. On adcs, always prioritize dmg over defensive items. If you don't do dmg, buy dmg. Once you finally do deal alot of dmg, then invest in defensive items if you're in danger of being killed.

Last season when I played Draven alot (towards the end of the season) there were 3 general builds on Draven. Each serving a different purpose, as well as a few iffy/situational builds.

CORE 3:

1: Normal, IE>PD basically the same build you would use on any ADC. Shiv or PD really doesn't matter on Draven, personally I prefer Shiv for some magic damage, AoE, and because of your damage really high AoE crits.

2: BT Rush, BT>PD>IE. I personally never found this a build I wanted, if I wanted the early LS I would typically go the BoRK build for more AS as well as ability to handle the tanks.

3: Nuke Build. THis build will deal a fuckton of damage to everyone at early levels. IE>BT>LW. This is a build that can only be done a few specific champs, Draven, Cait and one other I cannot remember. The reason it can only be done on these champs is the early damage they put out.

Now the more odd builds you can do.

1: BoRK>Ghostblade>IE>LW

2: Ghostblade>IE>BT>LW

These are the only 2 I actually recall using/seeing other people use. Ghostblade rush is for lanes where you need to snowball, example top and mid are both feeding and if you don't begin snowballing you will not win game. This is a huge risk but needed in some games.

BotRK is obviously for against tanks, Ghostblade second is ok if you want to have AS steroid, if not you can go into IE for a normal ADC buildpath.
