How good is brand?

Hey guys. I used to play brand a lot in the past but nowadays i just dont know what to do with him. I dont know i find him really underwhelming. For a champion thats supposed to be a type of "aoe nuker", he feels kinda weak. His ult damage and ratio is super bad unless in certain scenarios where two or three people are standing next to each other . his pillar of flame even though it has a long range cant be used for poke because it just tickles if u dont land another move beforehand. his e will only spread if people are right next to each other and already on fire. If they are on fire you probably poked with your w in which case you wont have it up for a while. a whole ten seconds. and it probably didn't do much dmg anyway. also people, knowing that youre brand, will make a conscious effort not to stand next to each other. It seems to me like this champion needs certain scenarios to make him good. hes not like other powerful aoe mages like, maybe katarina or i guess fiddle, kennen, and so on whose aoe burst will just massacre you if they're fed. maybe its just me being bad and not knowing how to play him but i always have this problem where at the post game screen i end up dealing much more dmg than anyone else in the game but it never seems to really translate in teamfights. If anyone has any advice for me please help. Thank you

brand is very situational, what you need is a team with some nice CC, stuns, knock ups and heavy slows. when you go into team builder, skip teams that lack the CC you need, you will have a better time in the mid and late game.

as for early game always initiate with your E first as it is the easiest to land. the best combo for brand is E, Q, W.

E to initiate

Q to stun

W for massive damage nuke

if you are going into a team fight. pop this combo fast on the first champ you make contact with. then ult your main target.

it takes practice but the faster you can pop this combo, the stronger you will be.

I don't favor Brand. He is an immobile defenseless mage (bad) with only one single target stun that procs with two skill shots (LOL)

His gimmick is two person burst on an ultimate ability you can't trust to bounce correctly.

Brand does damage? Azir does damage.

Hes not bad like some might say. just wait for someone to initiate, try to pillar of flame as many grouped up champion as possible then ult the blazed ones that affected by his passive.

he's good. landing his combo's deals a lot of damage.

I personally think hes a lot of fun. Landing his skill shots is rewarding. He does TONS of damage if you can use your brain. I've been having a lot of fun with him mid/jungle(srsly).

This is diamond elo, and I am not a mid main (main jungle)
