Athenes or Morello?
Ok, I usually get Morello over Athenes because of more AP and Mana Regen. But is Athenes really worth getting?

For those two I would say no, when you're playing a mid laner that doesn't necessarily carry, you would want to go athenes. For example Galio makes good use of Athene's due to how his passive interacts with the magic resistance on Athenes.
If you're going to be bullied around, it may also be worth getting, say you're playing idk Orianna, against LeBlanc. You're going to get bullied hard, so Athene's contains MR to help deal with that while still having a chunk of AP. You could also consider that Athene's has stronger mana regeneration on someone who builds a large mana pool, many Orianna players build Seraphs thus giving them a huge mana pool. The % of missing mana based regeneration encourages the spammy useage of her spells, considering you have to constantly reposition the ball in order to utilize the rest of your spells. Not to mention that when you're pushed to turret it makes for a relatively easy time for your jungler to come gank, securing a kill or assists for you and then replenishing 15% of your maximum mana.
So in short, no on Ahri and LeBlanc I'd say stick with Morellos, for several reasons. As an assassins mid laner the higher AP is better for you, not to mention that the grievous wounds your spells apply help keep your opposing laner down and further oppress them due to the reduced healing effects, which include potions, and I believe summoner spells. Ahri and LeBlanc also don't build large mana pools because their costs are low enough that they can get in and run through a teamfight with plenty of mana to spare. So the 100% base instead of the 50% base + 2% of missing, is more than sufficient to sustain them. Besides Morellos is something like 400g cheaper than Athene's so it allows you to jump on that power spike even sooner.

Athenes would be a better choice if the enemy had alot of magic dmg or if u really needed the mana regen in games where u dont really get blue buff (it gives more mana regen than morellos)
Morellos is better if ur doing well since it provides more combat effectiveness with the extra ap and passive. Its also 400 gold cheaper.
Overall i think morellos is better most of the time
