Bronze 3 to Silver 5 in 3 days after primarily playing support
I felt like I should share my winning formula, especially since it worked so well... I was 400 games into Bronze 3 and got tired of the really awful supports I got. I went from Bronze 3 to Silver 5 when I was getting 10-15 LP a win... I was well into the zone where the elo system says that's where you belong. Estimating probably 20-30 games from there into Silver 5.
- If you queue, and someone cancels in queue - you should also, you could be picking up a troll and you don't want to get stuck with them, wait for 5-10 mins.
- If you're in champion select, and someone dodges, do not queue again for 5-10 mins. If you re-queue you'll likely get the same ppl and they'll ban champs based on what you selected previously.
- If you just stomped your game, do not re-queue, you're just as likely to pick up the losers as you are the winners from the last match. Again, wait 5-10 mins.
- If you just GOT STOMPED in your game, for god sakes, wait at least 10 mins... You don't want the same people!
- Between the hours of 4PM - 12AM CST is a bad time to queue - kiddie zone.
I played support primarily. Anyone can fill the carry positions, but it seems like there's far fewer people that can support. Sure you might get stuck with someone who isn't very good as ADC, but you'll still be better off than those non-buying site stone baddies. Leona and Nami are beasts... I go Nami when my team doesn't have much AP. I go Leona if we have 0 or 1 tanks in the team selection.
