I'm seeing ppl use nidalee and any other ranged character sit in the new wall gates, be untargetable, and fire off long ranged spells.
Was it your intention for them to be invulnerable and do this?
It's no different from the old walls except a slightly bigger area of vision. You could use skill shots over the old walls just as easily as through the gates.
wrote a ticket about this when they were in PBE. Long story short:
When riot comes up with a new idea, in the business world it's known as a project. In order to start a project, you need funding and a budget (aka money). Once you begin that project and invest money into it, there's no turning back.
That's why Riot never "undo" any fuck ups like cassiopia, zz'rot, and many other things people wish were reverted.
Probably unintentional, but I know if I chased an enemy into their base I'd sure as hell make sure not to stand around while they fire at me from a protected bunker.
In the meantime I'd just take advantage of a turtling team in their base to take objectives like baron and dragon. Nidalee can't waveclear three lanes of buffed minions, can she?
This would be easy to fix.
Just make the gates punt you to the other side when you step onto them like an automatic dash.
development of any kind costs something ... at this point however im questioning how much they are actually putting into development lol might not be a huge loss to scrap some stuff ... the game suffers more then some lost hours when you toss in unpolished turds.
Explain to me how this is any different than the team ensuring that there's a ward on the other side of that wall in the previous patch. Even on a Soraka, it wasn't that high of a risk to replace a swept ward over that wall with a Sightstone ward.
relax its probably unintended for you to become untargetable while standing on the gates, pretty sure it will be fixed so the gates still work the same as inteneded but not make you untargetable while standing right on them

Well,you could just go around. "But the turret!" Then why are you standing in front of the enemy's gate (which doesn't provide vision,so they're just randomly shooting unless wards) when you can be taking objectives?
They could hit you from the other side of the wall before too, they could also drop a ward and AA you. Now they can chase you when you stick around for too long.

Can you explain? I tought they were supposed to be see-throught. Which technically allows to cast throught in both direction. You could always do that with skill shots or a ward. From what you say, it seems to me like a free ward for both side. Maybe it should block vision, I don't know.

Hm, maybe Riot can rethink these gates? What if the gate caused an 80% decreased movement speed, or the like, only to the opposing team? Gates serve their purpose but prevent such gli tche s.
Just retool em to *open *so allied champs can pass it, but not for enemy champs.
As in, enemies can't pass through unless an ally is trying to do so themselves.
This allows the gates to retain their original purpose while still not making it a nightmare for melee champs chasing ranged.
