I don't own jarvan and i've never played him. I have very good top laners and Jgs so i wouldn't want him there. My questions is is J4 a good support?

I feel like just his ult alone would make him a good support. I have played against a J4 support ONE time before with a Xin Shao ADC and as dumb as that sounds they rekt us. They had 0 regard for the turret, they just dove us every single time and....it always worked. SO is J4 a good support with a normal ADC and if so, any advice on a build path and tips on his abilities? Is he worth buying strictly as a support role. I have other supports but i also have a shit ton of unused IP and looking to try someone new. Thanks

this seems like a duo q thing, it would be cool if you partnered up and did this with someone. lolz make a youtube vids so we can see

my girlfriend plays with me so i have a good duo partner and we do some crazy (but still good) combos bottom lane like fizz and morgana, brand and lulu, sona and kassadin, wukong and lux etc. but i have no way to record any of it

His mana costs make him pretty rough in a duo lane, plus largely item dependent. He can make great plays to peel or engage for an ADC, what he would bring to the lane Leona would do better imho.

j4 is a very good support against certain non mobile adcs mainly because of his farest engage range as melee and a lock down for 3.5 seconds. he can bring down adc's hp to 30% just by landing eq, aa and ult. also he gets a shield that slows and absorb damage. for say against jinx, when you know that her flash is down, you can just go all in on her every time ur ult is up since she have no way to escape. your arpen from q is very strong for you and your adc. he also never dies as support because of the short cool down of his eq from cdr provided by face of mountain and locket. he is also a very strong top lane bully because of his atk speed steroid from e and arpen from q. buying lots of mana pots will help you poke alot more. you can generally dive into anyone below 50% hp after 6 excluding those champions have immortal skills such as voli, lissandra and such.
