Champ for top lane

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a good champ in top lane and I wanted some advises. I'd like to get a top laner who scales pretty well (I don't want to be forced into early offensive plays because otherwise I'm badly outscaled), that can have a good impact in the mid game team fights (i.e. it's not completely useless untill late game), who can eventually split-push efficiently and have good 1 vs 1 outplay potential. I don't care if it's AD or AP. I'd prefer something that isn't a full tank and can carry a game when ahead. Please give me some advises and, if possible, tell me some pros and cons of any pick you mention. Thank you :)

Pantheon Pantheon is a safe pick as few champions can sustain his spears early and he is very good for early tower dives because of his passive. You can use his Ultimate to make sure other lanes win as well. Serves as a tank and an initiator lategame while having one of the best early games. Another strong pick is Jax Jax, especially for low elo due to his amazing 1v1 potential and great late game scaling. You can alter his build to suit each matchup, either going to burst the enemy ADC or building tankier to remain in battle throughout the teamfight. Also, amazing splitpusher because of his passive attack speed, fast wave clear, and low cooldowns (you can proc sheen for more damage). These champions are what I used to rank up, alongside with Lee Sin jungle if my lane was taken and I strongly recommend them for Solo Queue.

MonkeyKing

Wukong is basically perfect for you. He can go aggressive early against some opponents, but he's perfectly able to passively farm and hang out top lane against some lane bullies. Even if you're utterly crapped on in lane, the sheer strength of his ult means you will have immense come from behind potential in team fights. His good wave clear and fast turret taking (E is an attack speed steroid and his Q affects turrets) as well as his decoy make him a solid splitpusher as well. He's a solid duelist, with a fair amount of 1v1 outplay potential due to his decoy (just don't try to duel a late game Tryndamere or something). He also has a flexible build path. If you get ahead, with a black cleaver, last whisper, and ravenous hydra you are a very terrifying assassin who also puts out immense damage in team fights, and if behind you can build tanky and still be a CC monkey (heheh) with your ult. While also still having enough damage to rip the spines out of ADCs, lol.

Wukong scales really good and isn't too bad at any point of the game. Even if you lose lane you will still be useful with your ult and armor pen.
