Which champions should I be building Titanic hydra on? Always when I compare the the two hydras, I always pick Ravenous because more damage and life steal. Who would I ever pick Titanic hydra on? Please leave a reason also because it would really help me understand the choice better.
TouchpadExpert2 votesMost of the champions you build titanic on you also build ravenous on. Its generally a preference item and also situational. I always go by my team composition. If my jungler is a utility champion they probably don't have damage so I will go ravenous hydra to even that out. But if my jungler is an assassin I will go with titanic because I will most likely be the one tanking the enemy aggro. It really depends on preference and your team composition on which one is the better choice.
Apologies if that wasn't as specific as you may have hoped but it's how I decide which one is the proper pick for that game.

Most everyone yes. I'll try to list the usual suspects for building this item:
Most champions can go either way. Typically the fighter champions have more versatility in which one they can choose since they are adaptive. The tanks though tend to favor the titanic and the assassins favor the ravenous. But they're all melee so if you go with ravenous you still want a tanky item such as Randuin's Omen, Frozen Mallet or Black Cleaver. And if you go with titanic you often want some damage output so an items such as Youmuu's Ghostblade, Blade of the Ruined King and Infinity Edge are often built to even out your stats so you are tanky but still able to deal damage. Tiamat is a flex pick item, so often times you can build it half way, start something else and then decide which version of tiamat better suits the situation at a later point and time in the game.
Some of the champs I listed can buy both versions but usually don't (Shen & Mundo)
