Yo, my IGN is Pãwz and I main support. I've gotten to Diamond 1 in season 4, and during season 4 I was ranked the number 1 Nami player in the world on LoLskill. Currently standing at Diamond 3, with my eyes set on Challenger this season. I want to talk about supports, and hopefully introduce new perspectives on the role for others and myself. What supports do you prefer, what support items (or non support items) do you like, what runes do you take? I'd like to promote the mindset that there are different ways of support. I'd prefer to focus on mechanics as a support in this thread, but will talk about anything support related. If you want to come watch me play check out my stream above. I'm more a visual leaner, so its easier for me to explain stuff by showing rather than just talking about it. I'm also willing to commentate during stream if asked to do so. I'll be checking in ever so often on the thread. So... let's talk about supports...

I think myself a fairly capable support already, but I am clearly far from the best. What do you see as being the primary areas in which good supports (support mains ranked gold and above) can improve? I'd be open to input from anyone in the thread, of course, not just the poster.

I love playing Thresh, and sometimes I build item 3091 to take kills if we're dominating c:

I have question about rising in the rank when maining as a support.

When playing as support you dont have a lot of damage so you depend on others to get the kill for you. So you will support ur teammate as much as you can to help them get the kill or save their lives. In solo q you get different types of teammates for example you will get a teammate who are amazing and is like the easiest person to support when getting a kill. Then you have other teammate who are not so good and as you support them as much as you can to save them but they still manage to die after or they are struggling to get the kill. How do you deal with teammate like these? What is ur advice when it comes to this situation?

Thoughts on the new Zilean? What did you normally build on him? What will you build now? Is he even a support anymore? Only played one game so far with the new Zil and I think he plays smooth as butter as support. Watch out janna your not the only mega ranged support anymore...timesZilean are a changin.

A time to note, for supports looking to climb in elo, try to grasp champion match ups. Being able to pick counters to enemy team comps and a strong support if your first pick, will make your games worlds easier.
