So im just about to start my promos just wondering if its better to solo or duo because my duo partners arent on today but im willing to wait if its better. Plz answer if you have experience with promos like these because its silver 1 and its to enter a new league I feel like its gonna be a lot harder.
The problem with Duo'ing is you get brought up to whoever has the highest rank. If you duo with a plat friend you're going to face Plats in your promo's. If you are a Plat level player it's not an issue, but it does make climbing significantly harder since you face smarter opponents who hide their weaknesses. Whereas solo queing you will face other Silvers/ Gold 5's in your promo's and they may have easily exploitable weaknesses.
solo is easier unless you have a monstrously powerful duo partner who carries hard

If you have a really good carry hard friend, consider duo with him yes you will be matched up with high rankers and exceptionally more skilled players than you normally would... but thats why you have that friend of yours to carry right?
also if you lose, the game doesnt punish you as hardhly and if you were to win.. you sorta gain alot allowing you to climb tiers faster :D assuming you dont feed and dont lose too much
Solo Que definetly, when you duo you get more difficult people because you are expected to have more synergy and communication with the person you are duoing with. I learned this the hard way when i first started ranked. me and my buddy duoed all of are provisionals luckily landing in silver IV with a few lucky last games but if that luck hadnt have struck us we'd both be in bronze 3 right now
