Taking blue buff from your mid that is winning lane while their mid has a blue and a poke champ just because you "are behind" on a farm champion because you chose to do something dumb dont hinder your midlaner because you are bad taking a big monster that gives you mana on a champion like master yi for example doesnt do anything for you anyways while you could instead help your midlaner so he can do your job for you. sincerely diamond mid playing with high golds <3

As someone who plays all the lanes, I feel it's my job to remind you.

Look on your map. Where, per chance, is blue buff located?

#In the Jungle? GASP.

That must mean, that, the role with the matching name (Jungle->Jungle -not- Mid->Jungle) technically owns that location, and the farm that lies within!

As someone who does frequent the mid lane, I can tell you that, it is indeed a thing that you should be prepared to go without blue buff for a game. Which you should prepare for as soon as the game starts.

With this handy guide!

  • Step 1: Ask our jungler if they are going to be giving us blue buff this game. What happens next?
  • #Jungler: No you can't have it.
  • Well, at least they let you know. Alright, so we should build a Mana Regen item, or not blow all our spells out our ass and miss our target. OR
  • #Jungler: Sure mate. Go crazy. I'll need my first 1-3 blue buffs, after that it's yours.
  • Sweet! Proceed as normal, no mana regen necessary here! OR
  • #Jungler: ...
  • Damn! Looks like this one hasn't figured out how to communicate yet. That's perfectly fine. We'll just figure out who is going to be in our jungle.

Is our jungler... A Devourer noob? Shyvana MasterYi LeeSin Welp! Better just build mana regen then. Try to survive to the late game and enjoy the free carry!

Is our jungler... A Tank? Nautilus Amumu LeeSin Chances are, your tank junglers will need their first two blues. Try not to be a whiny bitch, and just try getting their attention by pinging the blue buff with an "Enemy Missing" notification multiple times, as it's shaped like a question mark and is essentially "Icanhas?"

Is our jungler... A Runeglaive noob? Elise Diana LeeSin Wildcards here. Half of them want to play like devourer noobs, the other half will actually communicate with the team and donate buffs. Should go for mana regen for safety.

Is our jungler... A Warrior? Rengar Khazix LeeSin Most of the time, these guys are pretty chill. Will probably toss you blue buffs. They may not know what they're doing, and they'll certainly fall to their doom against the onslaught of Devourer/Runeglaive spams, but you don't have to worry about mana regen this game!

There's your handy dandy guide to not whining on the forums because you didn't get a blue buff that didn't belong to you! Cheers!

imo it's up to the jungler if they want to give their blue or not up to even the third spawn of it. beyond that you should definitely give to your laner, but before that I think you should be allowed to have it if you want it.

As a mid laner I never feel entitled to blue bluff but whenever the jungler offers it to me I am very happy about it.

I don't take blue buff because it isn't mine and I wouldn't like someone taking my blue buff if I were a jungler, just as I wouldn't like the jungler taking my cs as mid laner because.. guess what.. it isn't theirs (just as blue buff isn't mine).
