What a big difference learning the correct way and the wrong way can do , pretty much only took a month of on/off playing ranked to get through plat . i started in bronze 4 when i started playing but what i learned from going through all the ranks would be that the only thing that holds players back is themselves and the cocky way of thinking they have. Alot of people dont even understand how solo que actually works and how to play it which leads to the blaming of dc's or just straight dunning kruger players who understand 1/10's of the game. You literally explained nothing. You post just says "look at this, i stopped caring about my team and magically learned everything about league." This doesn't explain how to improve, it doesn't prove anything is possible. Its just showing off. There is nothing intricate about this post, and ultimately to the people you seem to want to help, it does nothing.

What the OP said needs to be heard more. You have to put the blame on yourself, your team is only as good as you make it.

You can call this a brag thread, a teaching thread. You can call it whatever you want it doesn't matter TBH, it needs to be heard more.

It does need to be known that you cant change your team, and you can only improve yourself. But that alone does not change anything.

??? it changes EVERYTHING. There is a reason faker is known as the best and can single handed at times carry his team vs top teams? He is good enough that it doesn't matter if his team screws up he can make up for it. If he can do that vs TOP teams you should be able to do that in bronze/silver/gold/plat. Theres a reason apdo can go on 30+ game winning spree's while ranking up new accounts. These guys dont just get the best teammates in the world every single game on like 10 separate accounts theres more of a chance that you win the lottery.

Im not saying you are suppose to be like a pro player and win every game im saying its possible. You are practically saying its impossible to win these games when other people can do it so that is an example. You wont win every game because you are not as good you will slowly rise as you learn, the quicker you learn and apply it the quicker you rank up. I was new to moba games I use to play console.

The players in the videos even the higher elo ones are baddd at the game. You just need to know what you are doing. Its all about learning .

Read what aametherar replied and said. Its about players that just blindly look at something like in this case where you just take what i say blindly instead of seeing that its about players that (for an analogy) normal people look at a blank canvas and see a blank canvas while an artist will see filled canvas. And that players are always looking to blame everyone but themselfs. This isnt a tip/ and tricks coaching session its just a though to give players that think its too tough or that there is a reason other than yourself that you arent higher elo.

Its a team game, no single person is at fault. If your team lost, it is your team's fault, yourself included. To say that you are the sole reason you lost is also being self destructive and overlooking the real facts. Yes you lost, you made mistakes, your allies made mistakes, your enemies made mistakes. You cant change your allies since they are random, you can only change yourself. I understand the message.

But you cant go saying anything is possible, because really its a flat lie. Just because one person can do something doesn't mean everyone can.

Sure people with disabilities or mental problems will not be able to but for your average joe yes you can. Also yes there are some winnable games but there are very few if you actually deserve to be higher if not then you need to learn more and get better.

No im telling you who its impossible for. My mamma taught me that anything is possible if you work hard enough and its true. Because of this im "naturally" above average at almost everything i do BUT I get stuck in the above average section like high gold lets say until I work my hardest to improve. Happens with everything ive done from real sports to vidya games.

maybe for negative nancy but i got to be star pitcher in baseball i also played every position because i wanted to learn how just so i could do it. My largest improvements came when I started thinking that the guys around me were all on an equal skill level but not always for the same reason, so a guy that looks bad at laning is probably good at objective play. My reaction to that was that if I can improve an allies position/power level in the game just a little bit they have strong potential to snowball out of control by being ahead of their peers, it doesn't even take much to set them on that path. Once I started doing that I started rising like a bat out of hell.

Other people blame their teammates, I work to set my teammates on a path to victory by taking 10 seconds out of my game to make sure they're more comfortable and confident with where they are even if it means a wild pink ward on one side of their lane. I've often dropped a pink for the mid laner as ADC and it makes a world of difference.

That is ME improving myself, and only one aspect of it. Other aspects involve more direct things like CSing which I have yet to really get into practicing since I got back.

Oh being mindful of my allies is an important aspect but certainly not the only one I focus on. I consider it an extension of my skill level that I have the knowledge and awareness to improve those around me as well as myself.

I've been on a long break and recently came back, I only just started even caring about getting better (some of us like to play casually with friends sometimes).

That said I think it's fair to say I'm improving fast since I just the other day decided to start learning again. So to say I don't invest in my own personal abilities would certainly be misleading. Being a 100% personal gain player isn't as important as being selfish in wanting to win regardless of who does the hard carry.

It's possible for one person to control the outcome of the game, but the rest of the team needs to not be a dead weight. No matter how well you play, no matter what you do, you aren't going to win 1v9. If that was true, every Challenger smurf would have 100% winrate, but guess what? They don't!
