So now with the whole new crit system ashe has, would it be more cost effective to buy stattik shiv over infinity edge as a first item? I feel like it would even help duels more considering the attack speed will allow her to proc her new q faster. Feel free to prove me wrong thanks

ie is about as core as you get it can be hard to cs though tell you get it.
the best way to think bout it is about her aa
her aa might hit more and faster. but you need the ie for damge.
the ie is a bs broken power spike for ashe i pernsally think its better to go ie into statik
As far as the new crit system is concerned nothing has changed at all. Ashe has almost the same (10% bonus) crit dps as any other adc, just without the random waves.
IE is 10x better simply because of the crit damage also giving her bonus damage.
Let's put it this way.
You have a choice between a sword or an upgrade that allows you to attack faster.
If you choose the sword, you'll hit slower but you will do damage
If you choose the upgrade, you will hit faster but do a quarter as much damage, however the upgrade does not multiply your attack speed by x4, it only increases it by 40%.
You need the sword before you get the upgrade for the sword.
