So sometime ago a person recommended me to get 300+ wins in normals. As I have reached that number, I'm looking forward to start ranked :D especially before season ends. The only concern I'm having at this point is the banning stage. Can someone help me, because I don't get it. Do you ban randomly or like ban certain champs depending on the champ they have/champ you're picking. All suggestions are greatly appreciated, thankyou.
Its always good to ask your team who they want banned first.
A lot of the bans are based on the current meta (Which you should know by now). For instance, Tristana is seen as an extremely strong late game champion, so she's banned frequently... Morgana as well, is a phenomenal support, so if no one on your team intends to pick her she's usually banned... A lot of people in lower ranks are a bit selfish in the bans and usually only ban champions that counter their play style specifically in their specific lane. Don't do that...
I suggest playing 10-15 Normal, Draft pick games just to get a feel for the banning system and who to ban... It's also a good idea to ask your teammates.

First of all, you have to ban the most dangerous picks of the moment. For example, in the current meta, you want to ban braum, yorick and zyra 'cause they're are VERY OP. After, an other great suggestion is to not ban to put stress on the other teams shoulders. ''Oh no !!!!1 they didn't ban they must be fakers !!!!!!!1111''. Till you learn who to ban ( by seeing who enemy bans and by who just is a pain) you can go safe bans, which is basically all the ultra snowbally champs that you probably cant trust your teamates to play around (unless you get placed high, but I assume you would know this already then)
Kat and LB are two big ones, both can get stupid if your team lets em, and they often will. Ekko because he is pretty strong and most people dont yet know how to play against him Yas maybe, he snowballs pretty hard
Im sure there are more, but if you arent sure ho to ban none of those have downsides to banning them really
